Wigging Out

September 16 | 4 Comments

I hope my parents don’t read this article. I sense further humiliation for the canine community. Dog Wig

In case you or your dog missed the news the other day, the must-have accessory for canines debuted this month at the New York International Gift Fair. They were wigs. Wigs for dogs.

Hair for dogs. Not to be confused with hair of the dog. As in fetching dos for dogs with fur coats and their owners, possibly in fur coats, too, who love to pamper them.

“I looked at it and I said, `Why not wigs for dogs’?” [Creator Ruth] Regina explains.

I look at it and say, “Why not a round rubber room for Ruth?”

If there are any canine hackers out there, feel free to work your magic on

I'm a male golden retriever and if I had male pattern baldness I still wouldn't be caught dead wearing one of those wigs.  I wonder if they make extensions for lady dogs?

Hahaha…I'm a boxer/bulldog mix.  That picture reminds me of my father…or maybe it's my mother.

Bo, you are the most handsome "mutt" I have ever seen.  I just don't this fad of hair extensions for dogs.  there are plenty of us running around that shed so much hair.  I mean heck let them use mine.  Mom and Dad lovingly call all the hair my compadre and I shed "George"  If you hear of any "George" takers its free.  As for me and Casey we will never go to that crazy extreme!
Woof! Woof!  Belle, the seizure sensing dog in Texas!

Got something to say?
