Oh, Deer

Cut Me Mick!My deer, you think it’s easy being a dog don’t you? Think again, as a friend of Rudolph shows the world. Check it out…

A deer wearing an orange dog collar kicked a child in a Santa Rosa County neighborhood, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s weekly report. After the May 8 incident, FWC officers investigated and found that the deer had been kept in a cage at a nearby residence.

The deer probably beat up a poor little dog and stole its designer collar. A little lesson for you pups out there, you never want to go into the woods in the dark wearing your best necklace, lest you become the target of a herd of deer. You also don’t want to go into the woods wearing deer pee. You don’t want the buck to stop at you. Trust me on that one.

It had gotten loose and the 4-year-old child had tried to pet it. The deer had gone up on its back legs and struck the child on the head and back with its hooves. The child’s mother chased the deer off and was also kicked. Neither was seriously injured.

Clearly, the deer needs to hit the heavy bag a little harder. Being schooled by a 4 year old and its mother is not going to help its stature in the forest.

This is what happens when people don’t educate themselves about animals.  What parent thinks it’s a good idea to let their child pet a wild animal?  Oh, wait.  It had a collar, so it must be safe.  I hope the deer knocked some sense into that mother.

I like it when humans try to domesticate bears. That’s some good reality TV material.

Got something to say?
