Turtles Dine at Vinnies

You think there’s too much garlic in this?Never let it be said that Mother Nature doesn’t have a plan. The instincts she imparts upon all the creatures of the world are flawless, geared to the survival of creatures great and small.

It’s like the instinct I have for patience. I can out stare and out wait my parents until I get what I want.  Why, just this morning I managed to get some newly fried up bacon put into my kibble, just by refusing to eat what was initially presented to me. By the way, it was turkey bacon. If somebody could tell me what’s wrong with my parents, I’d appreciate it.

Anyway, it looks like Mother Nature  is trying something new with her latest batch of hatched sea turtles.

ROME (Reuters) – About 60 newly hatched sea turtles lost their way during their ritual passage to the sea and marched into an Italian restaurant instead, a conservation worker said on Monday.

“Heya, we don’ta wanna no turtles ina da restaraunt. Go backa da sea,” the owner was overheard saying to the group.

The baby turtles — which ended up under the tables of startled diners at the beachside restaurant.

“The diners were at first quite curious and then someone alerted the coastal authorities.”

I would surmise the turtle soup that evening was the freshet pot ever made.

The stranded turtles, which had hatched on a beach inthe southern Italian region of Calabria, were released into the sea.

Walking into the sea, one of the hatchlings turned to his slow, four legged friend and said, “This blows. I really had my heart set on the famous baked lasagna.”

Welcome to the club, my friend.
