Big Bird Goes Missing

Big Bird is missing and authorities need your help.

LOCHANHEAD, Scotland, Oct. 4 (UPI) — Authorities say they are hunting for a 5-foot-tall flightless bird that escaped its enclosure in Lochanhead, Scotland.

I knew Big Bird couldn’t fly but I always thought he was taller than that.  In fact, I had him pegged at 7′ 8″. That’s why I picked him for my fantasy hoop team.

They said the bird is a rhea, which are related to ostriches and emus. It ran off from its farm when it was disturbed by a fox, officials from the Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary told The Daily Telegraph Saturday.

They described the big bird as inquisitive, friendly and graceful.

They left out annoying.
