Car Used as Chipmunk’s Pantry
December 12 | Hmmm...No Comments Yet
When I need to store stuff away, I usually end up digging a hole and burying it. Sure it’s not the ideal way to put my holiday ornaments away from year to year, but at least I know where to find them. Storing things properly is important to me.
You see, if I lost my first Christmas ornament, the one with a likeness of me and dated Christmas 1922, I’d be devasted. This would, most probably, start a peeing spree like no other. Nothing would be safe, not even my old man’s galoshes.
So I can’t imagine how the chipmunk in this story from the Metro must feel today after his storage center was raided. Read more

Plastic Owl Rescued By Firefighters
December 11 | 1 Comment
I once chased a half dead bird. It was alive, but its spirit was gone. Word in the trees was that it was a late sleeper and just never got that early worm. Its spirit crushed, I almost caught it.
The point of me bringing this up is that I could tell the state it was in. Apparently it’s not so easy with Owls.
The most famous owl I know, and I don’t even know his name, is the one who takes three licks of a tootsie pop lollipop. Even with that limited knowledge of the species I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t make the mistake a few Londoners did.
The Daily Mail tells all. Read more

Exoskeleton For Dogs
December 11 | 1 Comment
Here’s an invention that may be beneficial for me. I am over 100 dog years old, ya know. Maybe this can help out some of you too…
LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue University students are working on an “exoskeleton” for dogs – a type of brace they hope can help older canines struggling with hip problems.
The students came up with a device that fits over part of a dog’s back and helps it put more weight on its back legs while using less pain medicine. Read more

Woman Hides Sedated Monkey in Blouse

My parents think I’m deceitful at times.
They’re right, I do try to hide things from them. Like, on prom night, when I took Pam the poodle to insipiration point for a little love. My parents asked where I’d been all night, I said chasing squirrels in the woods.
Let’s just say it’s a good thing I’m neutered, otherwise we’d have a pack of Boodles running around.
But when it comes to this blog, I don’t need to be deceitful at all. I just report on the stories as I see them, like in this one.

Dogs Play Fair

I have a sense of right and wrong. Getting a piece of bologna for giving paw is right. Getting a piece of ham for giving paw is right. Getting praise for giving paw is wrong, wrong, wrong!
I’ve been screwed out of treats in other ways too, namely by my sister Copper. Since she’s a real good beggar, with those pleading eyes, I’ve missed out on some excellent table scraps. That isn’t fair.
Kangaroo Kicks Kid’s Ass
December 8 | Hmmm...No Comments Yet
I love it when brash young kids get what they deserve. I can’t really tell if the kid deserves this kangaroo kick, but I’m all for a little physical comedy.
Enjoy…

Fat Friendly Dog Survives Cold

I love food. The problem is food doesn’t love me. Or to be more specific, food doesn’t love me to have a beautiful body.
That’s why I have to watch my caloric intake, especially at my advanced age.
Turns out, there may be some upside to being fat, as evidenced by the following story about a morbidly obese canine named Jiffy.

Walrus Sax For Food Scandal
December 5 | 1 Comment
I have always admired animals who are gifted artistically, whether the outlet for their creativity is painting, singing or playing an instrument.
The way I have chosen to channel my gift is to put paw to keyboard and write a little prose. The result of which is read by tens of people.
Some dogs, cats, birds, elephants, et al get to work their magic in front of much larger crowds. Take for instance this walrus who performs a saxophone routine at a zoo.
