Miley Cyrus Gives Up Puppy

After Miley Cyrus lost her beloved pup, Floyd, her mom surprised her with a new puppy to help ease the pain. It turns out Miley wasn’t ready to have a new dog in her life and decided it was best to give her to a loving home.
Here’s the full scoop from Us Weekly.
Miley Cyrus isn’t quite ready to move on from the death of her beloved dog Floyd earlier this month. Shortly after the Alaskan Klee Kai passed away, the “Wrecking Ball” singer’s mom, Tish Cyrus, surprised her daughter with a new puppy to take Floyd’s place — but as cute as little Moonie was (and is!), he couldn’t heal the star’s broken heart.
“Moonie, thank you for giving me so much love, comfort & peace,” Cyrus, 21, tweeted on Sunday, April 13, alongside a photo of herself holding the pup. “It’s just too soon for me right now. #missingmoonie”
Asked by a fan where he’d gone, theBangerz songstress replied, “My friend’s mom who has a tiny pup 4 him 2 play with Molly. After what happened I’m scared 2 have a tiny dog.” (Cyrus has not disclosed the details of Floyd’s death, but some reports suggest he was attacked by a coyote.)
Tweeting about Floyd’s death on April 1, the singer wrote, “Today is the 2nd worst day of my life. I don’t wanna say it because I don’t want it to be real…I am broken.”
Since then, the former Disney star has struggled to come to terms with the loss. At a sound check in Boston on April 2, she broke down in tears while singing Floyd’s apparent favorite song, Fleetwood Mac’s ”
Landslide.” And on April 5, she appeared visibly shaken while serenading a giant statue of her late dog in concert at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
“Miley is so upset over her dog dying,” a source told Us Weekly. “She is having a really hard time getting through the the concerts because of it. She’s been breaking down throughout the shows.”
When you lose a dog it leaves a huge void in your life and everyone deals with the loss differently. Some go out and get a new pup right away and others need to wait. There is no right or wrong way, it’s whatever is best for you. I’m sure when Miley is ready she will add another family member.
